Olive Jones

Olive Jones came through 4Cee Sessions to perform live at Reservoir Studios in NYC. Raised in a tiny Dorset village where, as she puts it, "Dorset doesn't grow musicians," she started on saxophone at school before finding her way to folk and guitar. FOR MARY, her debut album made with producer James Wyatt, took her from busking on the street to the Top 10 of the UK Spotify chart.

This session is just her voice and a guitar, the record with nothing to hide behind. She built her name the grassroots way: busking, a Leeds band, the Gotts Street Park feature "Tell Me Why" that Elton John championed, and tours supporting Bombay Bicycle Club. FOR MARY is the debut all of that was building toward.

"There's nothing more vulnerable than busking."

With vinyl sold out and a first headline tour underway, Olive Jones is the front of a British soul renaissance critics are pointing to. Recorded live, in front of a live audience in NYC.
